I enthusiastically received a custom order for a set of 5 vintage inspired cards.  The following recipe yielded a set of fabulous cards:

  • a dash of gold ink
  • 6 teaspoons of type writer key stickers
  • 2 vintage image stamps
  • pages from a 50+ year old book
  • 4 cups of creativity
  • 1 cup of letters from vintage flash cards (macron included!)
  • a dash of inspiration
  • handful of textured scrapbook paper
  • a pinch of purple and light brown brads

Yield: 5 fabulous vintage inspired cards

The recipient of these lovely cards: “So, I went to my mailbox today, and I found a lovely little package waiting for me. Oh, Sarah, they are beautiful. Thank you so much. I especially love the type writer one!”

A Piece of Autumn in an Envelope

Have I mentioned that I LOVE fall? Well, I do!

I found this delightful fabric months ago and wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it (table cloth, place mats, dinner napkins?) but I took it home anyway. While looking for some inspiration this morning, I peeked into one of my fabric drawers and decided that this fabric will have a purpose beginning today! These cards are full of texture and depth: floral fabric, red thread, red sheer ribbon, festive green brads,  brown tag – all on a cardboard note card. I chose warm cardboard note cards instead of  crisp white note cards because how many autumn leaves are a hospital white? 🙂

I thought about stamping some text onto this tag, but decided to leave it up to you! Just think of the possibilities: “Grandma” “Mom” “Thank You” “Hello” “Smile” “Thinking of You” “Congrats” “Autumn!” “You’re Invited!” These 4 customizable pieces of autumn can be yours today! Check it out at PiecefulJoy.etsy.com!
